ST. PAUL'S VIDEO/STUDY GROUP "The New Testament" study begins

Our two new Ecumenical Study Groups begin with Lent!
One will meet on Tuesdays at the Matz's home. 28230 Old Stage Road.
We will soon begin to explore "The New Testament" a 12 week study similar
to the previous Hebrew Testament study just completed.

From The Teaching Company Resource Center the facilitator will be Professor Bart Ehrman
of the Univerisity of North Caroline, Chapel Hill.

The first session will be followed by a 3-4 week break, then a second six-week session.
An outline is provided by Jim Tackett, study leader.

Professor Bart Ehrman, of the Department of Religious Studies
at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, was also the presenter
of our earlier discussion series on the "Lost Christianities: Christian Scriptures
and the Battles over Authentication."

He is a recognized authority on the New Testament
having written over 20 scholarly articles and edited eight books.

His 24 lectures on the Christian Testament will offer a historical perspective,
bracketing questions of belief and theological truth
to offer a historically rich grounding for our understanding of these 27 books.
